Should I jump right into the DF or consume some water first?

To preface, I’ve dry fasted before and water fasted before. My longest dry fast was about 3 days and my longest water fast was about 10 days. So I do have some experience in fasting. However the do’s and dont’s of DF are still somewhat new to me and I’m looking to be educated.

So here’s my question. Yesterday I decided to start a DF today. Not sure how long I’ll go but I’m going to feel it out. Yesterday I had some high sodium foods and I was wonder if I should drink water for at least a few hours to help flush out the sodium before officially starting the DF. I know that you still urinate on a DF but I was just wondering if there was any info on this. Does the body hold on to sodium since there’s no water being consumed? I’m really curious on this issue. Thanks a ton!

Answer

Before every dry fast I down a couple big cups of water. I find it gives me a feeling of a full gas tank going on a long drive. I do 48hr dry fast every mon/tue. Even if it’s the placebo effect I think the pre-game water does do it’s work. By wed I’m on the snake juice. Good luck
