Hello, I am starting my intermittent fasting journey today. I went to the doctor for my yearly exam and I was shocked to see my numbers. I’m 28 year old female and I weigh 160 pounds at 5’0. I’ve never been this heavy before. I’ve done intermittent fasting before and I got to be 120 pounds buy after starting antidepressants my appetite has been difficult to fast for 16 hours but I’m ready to start my journey in becoming healthy. I need to lose weight and lower my bad cholesterol levels. Please share some words of encouragement and how to stay motivated.
Use this wake up call to fundamentally change your way of eating. Don’t go on a “diet”!
Eat meat, veggies, and healthy fats, and don’t snack between meals! Also, don’t drink any calories!
You got this!
Hi! I’m 5’2.5”, started at 206 lbs about 14 months ago, and am now at 142-ish lbs because of IF, and I’m still chugging! I also have high cholesterol, and I would suggest not freaking out about the numbers, at least until after you lose all the weight you are hoping to lose, because your cholesterol tends to be higher during active weight loss. If you haven’t already, I would highly suggest listening to or reading Gin Stephens’ book “Fast. Feast. Repeat.”!
