The Big 5-0 (SW: 327, CW: 277, GW: 225)

Today I officially hit the 50-pound weight loss mark!

I started IF back on August 1st of 2021 after realizing my self-control was non-existent, and I’ve found it to be the easiest type of diet for me because I’m not good at limiting how much of something I eat. However, I haven’t had any issues in limiting when I eat. As long as I tell myself I can’t eat before or after a certain point, no problem.

Things got a little slow around Christmas time for me, but that’s because I haven’t been strict (I still drink and eat well on weekends) and there were lots of parties and gatherings to attend at that time. I actually gained 3 pounds in December, but all of that was from Christmas eve through New Year’s Eve.

Plus, I saw a great saying on here at that time, something along the lines of “What you do between New Years and Christmas matters more than what you do between Christmas and New Years”.

My point is, even if you have a rough stretch, get back on IF and stick with it. If you’ve had doubts about starting IF, what have you got to lose other than weight?

It’s definitely been beneficial to me. I hope to post my 100-pound milestone sometime in 2022!

Answer

that first paragraph is exactly me. im back on the wagon and working towards 170 GW. The biggest problem with working from home is i haven’t replaced my bicycle commute with some other exercise. So, I’m buying parts to refurbish my Concept 2 Rowing Ergometer; bearings so it stops squealing at me.
