what type of fasting will help preserve the most amount of muscle. Please help

ive been bulking hard since the summer, currently at 17% bodyfat. my goal is to get to 12% by summer. i want to cut by fasting. I’ve never done a cut this way, usually, I’ve done a calorie-restricted cut in the past. has anyone done it like this? and if so which fasting method should i use to preserve the most amount of muscle? approximately how long will it take? I’ve done many fast in the past both dry and water, but never for weight loss.

I will do same, I will do alternate day fasting, I will do weights on the eating day and low cardio on the fasting day, I will add ice baths on the fasting days

I will eat keto mostly salad and meat.

What is your lifting schedule? Muscle retention is very dependent on continued use. Try to stick to your current lifting schedule and have a very high protein meal within 24 hours of every gym sesh. Those meals are non-negotiable. With that constraint, do you still have many options for a fasting schedule?
