Anyone ever have to fast involuntarily?

I know ppl starve everyday around the world… Now that I’ve completed a water fast, I’m not afraid of starving fasting for several days until pay day anymore Lol

Only time I can remember is being a kid and staying at my friend’s house. Those people did OMAD before OMAD was a thing. I was a fat kid and I was used to eating a minimum of 3 meals a day with snacks in between. But this guy’s family just ate once at the end of the day. I was freaking starving. From then on when I stayed at his house I would pack snacks.

I seem to have developed some food sensitivities since moving back to the States from Australia and there have been a few times when I was at a friend’s party where I couldn’t eat what they had served. Or when I was volunteering somewhere and they served food for all the volunteers but I couldn’t eat any of it since nobody reads the “food allergies/food sensitivities” section on volunteer forms. All you can drink coffee though. 🙃

I’ve never been in a true starvation scenario. But I have lipedema, and need to keep to an anti-inflammatory diet to avoid gaining like 3-7 lbs of water weight a day. And I used to have to obsessively bring keto snacks with me everywhere, it required so much planning. But after having done water fasting a few times, being hungry isn’t scary. I can just live my life. And if I go somewhere and they’re not serving anything I can eat, I just eat later. It really makes my life a lot less stressful.

i once got on a 40 hour bus ride with no snacks. the bus made some pit stops for food along the way, but I didn’t speak the local language, and was afraid if I got off the bus I wouldn’t be able to get back on and they would leave without me. closest i’ve come to involuntarily starving

Answer

Hiking & camping present the perfect opportunity. Not super involuntary, moreso it’s easier than packing & carrying a bunch of food. Most people lose their minds at the thought of going more than 8 hours without food.

Answer

always skipped breakfast, my family had to leave early in the morning since we lived far from school/work, my parents used to give money to buy snacks at school but I just saved it lol

I went to school from 7:00am to 14:00 pm so I would fast naturally
