Has anyone found their appetite has gone as a result of IF?

This sounds like a negative thing however I don’t mean it in a bad way. I feel like I can never satisfy what I’m looking for. I can’t really explain, nothing seems to hit the spot haha.

Today I had loads of fried frozen food to see as I never eat this junk. It kinda did. It’s like I don’t know what I’m craving and don’t know what my body needs. It’s weird to explain.

Answer

I agree with you. I never crave anything anymore. When its time for me to break my fast i never know what to eat because i’m not in the mood to eat so sometimes i extend my fast further. I aim to do 18 hours but most days i’m hitting 21 hours instead because of the lack of appetite.

My hunger left when I changed from 16/8 to 20/4. When I did 16/8 I couldn’t wait for my earring window to open. Now I’m barely hungry at the start and end of my eating window. I do get cravings though if I see pictures or videos of delicious food. I do weight lifting every second day. However, if I eat rubbish, I’ll get hungry for sure.

That’s exactly how I ended up doing my first 36 plus hour fast, I got to dinner while doing a planned 24 hour fast and I was just not hungry or really craving anything so I decided to just go to bed and eat the next day.

Answer

Yeah, my appetite is gone now. It’s worrying since I lift weights and do cardio. I worry if I am not getting enough. If I felt deprived, I would get hungrier during my fast, maybe eat a little more when I feel it.

Answer

Yep. Before I started this OMAD diet, I would crave fast food and pizza and eat either almost every day. That was 5 months ago, I lost the fast food and pizza cravings, so happy I did, couldn’t be good for my health.

Fast food felt like an addiction, a friend asked me why I eat fast food all the time and never cook at home, I remember saying I was addicted to fast food, it was like a drug.

I don’t really crave anything anymore. Now I just see food as something to make sure I’m getting my calories in for the day but now it’s home cooked meals and I try to make them healthy.

But like you said, nothing really hits the spot for me either.
