Omad dry fasting

Has anyone tried omad with dry fasting? Is this something the body could safely endure or is it just asking for trouble? I’m wondering if eating a low carb, probably low water meal would be too much for the body to keep up with, using metabolic water. I’m asking specifically about eating the meal WITHOUT also rehydrating beyond what water is in the food… protein and vegetable

Answer

What you think about is what practices Dr Laszlo Boros who works on deuterium depleted water associated with a ketogenic diet (to heal metabolic diseases).

Is this possible? Probably, but you need to try it to see if you are able to do it sustainably.

Answer

I do this everyday. Except instead of eating at 5-6 for Omad I start eating juicy fruits around 3 before eating a dinner. If I don’t eat the fruits and hydrate a little before I will have zero interest in eating any cooked or processed food. I’ve been doing this for about 6 months and have no interest in dropping the juicy fruits before eating dinner. If you do pursue this, I would allow your body to slowly adapt before lowering liquid amounts. Definitely possible, but something that will take time (depending on where you are in your journey…)What is your purpose in doing this?
