GF left town on business trip, got an opportunity to fast. This Feb I water fasted to drop my weight from 209 to 183(about 30days). And since March, I had been maintaining on OMAD M-F and 16:8 during weekends.
Now I have about 1 month time where I can fast uninterrupted. Just had my last meal around 2:30pm, with about 7 pounds of meat, veggie and fruit in me, I am ready to go on the final push to get to my ultimate cutting weight.
Starting weight at 3:30pm 7/8/18: 190.3 lbs, about 18% body fat; goal weight: 160lbs or when I reach 10% body fat. I am a male at 5’10” 36 yo. Hoping I can get there in 3 weeks, and hoping I can water fast for 21 days straight.
I had never fasted this long uninterrupted, but looking forward to the challenge!
Good luck! Looks like a solid plan. Come join our chat room. It really helps to talk with like minded people while fasting, atleast in my experience. https://join.slack.com/t/waterfast/shared_invite/enQtMzkyMTI5OTExMzUxLTFmYjYzM2ZhYjZmNDY2NWUwNzZjYTcwN2E5MDBkMWI5ODIzZmNhODA0MzAxZjYxODc2ZjRkNWVlNDI2MGUwNDE
What did you do to maintain the weight loss? How much did you weight go up when you started eating again? food, water weight etc. And how did you break your fast?
dude…we are exactly the same age/height/weight/BF%.
Good luck man. I’m shooting for 165lbs as my ideal triathlon weight. I look really fit and muscular right now, but I’m carrying around a bit too much fat. Def. more of a weight lifter look, and I’d rather be a lot more lean. I’m on a two week vacation, so trying to kick start some better habits with a fast. Currently, finishing up day two. I added in some exogenous ketones (which have MCT powder) I had lying around, some pickle juice (yeah…also ate 1/2 a pickle), cold brew coffee, Sport Tea, and Ultima electrolytes, so technically not a full water fast.
I’ve been keto off and on for years. Ran OMAD throughout. Busted out a couple 3 day fasts. Might try and go for 5 days, depending on how I feel.
I really have to reboot my relationship with food (I will hit a rut and binge on garbage and just doing what is easy) from time to time, and it really helps building that discipline and commitment to be better.
