Hi all, I’m still very new to this; just over two weeks. I’ve been doing rolling 48s since mid March and one 72. I’m currently 37 hours into what I planned to be a 15 day fast. But, I’ve woken up sick today. I’m certain it’s not related to fasting, it’s respiratory and gastrointestinal. But I also feel like I’ve been run over by a bus; everything aches, I have zero voice (I have a very small whisper) and I barely have the energy to walk from one room to the next in my house. I have been drinking ACV water and snake juice, but I feel like I need some protein. Should I listen to that feeling or is it just me being a fatty and wanting to eat because I don’t feel well?
Extra information: I’m also 4 weeks post a major surgery.
I guess I should have included the reason why I’m confident it’s not related to fasting: two of my children came down with this over the weekend and I woke up with it this morning. So, I’m sure it’s just one of those things that kids bring home from school. But, the point about fasting directly after major surgery was not lost on me. I am under the care of my primary physician, but the surgery was a separate event. I see her next week. I’ll modify this into a 48, then to OMAD until I see her and reevaluate from there.
Sir eat clean. Bone broth, lean cut meats, cheese for fat, ghee, take few fruits, yogurt rather than milk.
Get better first, eating this will also make you loose weight, your aim is to be healthy not just loose weight and be a zombie.
And I advice you to start slow with 16 hr fast then 23hr then 48 then 72.
Going 15d straight may tax you mentally and your body let it get adapted first to fasting.
Eating 30years daily and then suddenly not providing food to your body will bring very abrupt changes, it is not that it is not done , people do it but this is my perspective.
