Keto Flu/Hypoglycemia

Hi Everyone,

During my fasting period last evening, I got a bad headache, felt dizzy and became very nauseous. I’ve been doing 16:8 for about a month now and this is the first time this has happened. In fact, my body has responded well and I usually feel great. Does anyone know why something like this might happen? Am I ok to do my regular fasting routine today? Last night, I ate when I felt poorly and the symptoms went away. Thanks for your helpful advice.

Are you eating very few carbs on top of fasting? If so, you likely need to watch your electrolytes while you fast. If you don’t take potassium/magnesium/sodium supplements while fasting and low carb you can feel really bad.
