This is my fourth water fast and the longest I have done before this was 3 days. What actually helped me do such a long fast was to give up the first few times. On those previous 4 fasts, I gave into the temptation, ate food and felt like crap - the food wasn’t necessary and the hunger was psychological. This helped me during my current long fast where I remembered the feeling - Eating food isn’t as spectacular as you’d imagine.
As the fast progressed, psychological hunger disappeared by 7-8th day. For me the most difficult days were 10-13. I had a mild fever and a lot of previous symptoms resurfaced and healed.
I briefly tried dry fasting towards the end. 2 days soft dry fast (I sipped very low amounts of water), break, followed by 3 more days. Dry fasting was interesting because I didn’t have the chills and felt higher energy. The only downside was the thirst.
I didn’t exercise throughout the fast and slept a lot. I have moments of intense productivity and lethargy. No supplements or potassium. Just water.
Around day 10, I got tired of the bad taste in my mouth, so I made some mint, black salt, green chili’s, cilantro, ginger water and splashed it in my mouth and then spit it out. I was about to give up and this helped me continue with ease.
Starting weight: 235 lbs Current weight: 200 lbs.
Tomorrow will be my last day. Planning to break the fast with some veggie and chicken broth.

What was your intent/goal of dry fasting?
>No supplements or potassium.
Given the positives and medical recommendation of balancing electrolytes, any reason you took the risk and / or dealt with the side effects by intentionally omitting them?
