Hello! First post here, having done OMAD since Jan 1 and I absolutely have found my thing after failing to keep weight off long term, I feel so much more energised and clear minded.
I’m a 32F, 5’9, current weight 187lbs, down from 200lbs on 31st Dec 21. Target is 147lbs by Christmas this year!
I am just about to attempt my first 14 day fast, (water, black coffee, herbal tea, electrolytes) starting after my dinner tonight and finishing Sunday 27th of Feb.
It’s been great to draw on your experiences here in this subreddit, and I’m fasting not only for weight loss (to get close to a healthier weight) but for discipline and mental health - fasting has improved my mental clarity so much. I really hope I can achieve the full 14 days - and I’ve prepared for it as much as I can. Plan is to walk an hour each day for my exercise, and keep a diary of how I feel.
Wish me luck! I’ve got a fairly busy work week so that’ll keep me occupied at least… And why I can’t give up the coffee for now!
If anyone else is attempting a long fast, let me know and we can check in on here :)
IDK why you say you’ve prepared for it as much as you can. No, you haven’t. OMAD is a world away from a 14 day fast. You haven’t done anything in between so your likelihood of success is diminished. I mean OMAD is a cake walk, 14 days….not so much.
