What are some of your dryfast=weight loss experiences?

Curious to know your weightloss experience based on amount of consecutive days in a dry fast.

I saw someone here did a 5 day fast and lost 26 lbs but he did not reply to how much he regained back once he started drinking and eating.

Curious what is the longest you have dry fasted and how much you lost and also how much you regained back

I lost a little over 13kg (about 29 pounds) on a 7 day dry fast. I transitioned to diluted juice and electrolytes to break it, then a few days of fruit and vegetables. I gained a little under 1kg over those three days. I then went into a water fast and continued to lose weight, and now over a year later, I have never regained the weight. I still do dry fasts from time to time, and do not regain more than a kg or so, as long as I’m careful.

I just completed a 7-day dry fast on Saturday. I lost about 26 lbs.

Summary of Rehydrating/Refeeding Days:

Day 1: When I ended the dry fast, I consumed baking soda and water, magnesium/potassium, Tangy Tangerine + sparkling mineral water, miso broth, plus lots of cucumber water and plain water), at the end of this day, I drank a LOT of liquids and gained about 6-7 lbs. back by the end of this day.

Day 2: I added to the above Athletic Greens powder. I also added in mushrooms, steamed broccoli and green beans with my miso broth on the second day after the fast. I also had an avocado (mashed) with sauerkraut on top (this is how I prefer to make avocado toast, so it was like having it minus the toast).

Day 3: I added to the above soy yogurt with chia seeds, added carrots in my miso broth (in addition to the veggies listed above), and had an apple with Nutzo nut butter and an avocado (mashed) with sauerkraut on top. I made a small smoothie (frozen cherries, frozen cauliflower, vanilla, stevia) and had a small handful of cashews. I also had some Ultima lemonade powder for electrolytes and some Kevita (water kefir probiotic drink).

Day 4: Instead of miso, I made hummus and had it with cucumbers, carrots and avocado. I continued with the Tangy Tangerine, Athletic Greens, Ultima and Kevita. I had an apple with Nutzo and soy yogurt with chia seeds.

Day 5: I had a cauliflower rice stir fry (frozen bag from Trader Joe’s) with tofu, mushrooms, and green beans added, plus soy yogurt with chia seeds, I continued with the Athletic Greens, Ultima and Kevita, but didn’t have the Tangy Tangerine. I also had some Kanji (Indian probiotic drink - homemade fermented beet/carrot water with mustard seed powder and black salt) for more probiotics. I was really full and kind of overdid it with the stir fry.

Today is Day 6 and I think I’m going to liquid fast today and just have Athletic Greens, Tangy Tangerine and Ultima plus water, Kanji and maybe some miso broth. As of today, I have gained about 10-11 lbs. back and I think (hope) that should be it. I plan to start a 3 day dry fast on Saturday.

Edit: added Kanji on Day 5/6.

I like DF better as I naturally don’t like drinking water. However, the effects on my heart are not worth it. As for fat loss, I have compared many results between DF and WF and there is very little difference and rightly so. Both are zero calories and utilities fat cells. DF will lose more water weight but they have a greater rebound.

My conclusion, WF is safer and more effective in fat loss and healing if you can hit the 21 day mark.
