BEST PLAN FOR WEIGHT LOSS

hello! Does anyone have a good protocol for weight loss? I have 50 pounds to loose… Anyone have a good fasting ( 2/3…7/14) day fasting protocol with refeed day meals for dramatic weight loss?

Dramatic weight loss will happen in the beginning.

Here’s one plan to start:

First, change your diet to keto, or even Carnivore. Then for the first week, eat 2 or 3 meals in an 8 hour window. Second week, eat your meals in a 4 hour window. Third week, eat one meal a day.

Monitor your weight on week 3. If weight loss stalls for a few days, skip a day of eating. If you still feel good without eating, then keep fasting until you’re hungry. When you do eat, make it a satisfying meal of meat and fat, then go back to OMAD until your next stall.

I recommend starting the recommendations for Intermittent Fasting/Obesity Diet on Week TWO.

For Week One, I recommend, instead, doing a low-fat, low-calorie juice (smoothie) cleanse, like the one promoted by the recipes of Rocco Dispirito (the Negative Calorie Diet).

If you do it this way, you will lose a LOT of weight in the first week, and then shift your metabolism drastically to lose a LOT of weight in the second week. Only, after you begin the Keto/IM diet, stick with it for the long haul.

I understand this is a different answer for this board, and it’s not going to be in line with the writings of Dr. Jason Fung, but it worked for me, accidentally, as I discovered his diet mid-stream of my accomplishing the Negative Calorie diet, and shifted course. Doing this, I’m convinced, gave me an edge to lose that much more weight in a short period of time.

I am on day 4 of 10 days water fast. I have used electrolytes daily but nothing else. I have been weighing daily and measuring my biceps, waist, hips, chest and thighs daily.

You’re doing great. I always think fasting teaches me that weight and measurements are not as forth coming as my psyche would prefer. You look at this and see how the size of your biceps changed. This shows that our fat tissue expands as it is burned. We want instant success but I always gain a few pounds about half way through a ten day fast. I lose it back a day or so later.
