Starting a 5 day fast today

Update: broke my fast 8hrs later than initially intended with an apple and a protein shake this morning.

Currently enjoying a nice salad with chicken and avocado for lunch before I fly off to see family. Feeling great and thinking I may do a 5 day fast every few weeks.

Weight before fast: 259lbs Weight today: 249.2lbs Goal weight: 175lbs

As the title says, I’m starting a 5 day fast today.

My short term goal with this fast is to cleanse my body of some of the junk I’ve been eating, and to reevaluate my relationship with food. Usually a hard reset will help me get back on track and refocused.

My longterm goal is to lose another 84lbs. I’m a female, 27, 5’10 and currently weighing in at 259lbs.

Hey, great start. I have high body fat. I did a 5.5 day and went from 252 to 235. Then through intermittent fasting went down to 221 over the next month. Surprising how much water is suspended in the body due to excessive calorie lifestyle.

Get green tea and sleep as much as you can, normal amount - but who sleeps 8-9 hours

I tried drinking water to satiate my mental hunger. So, I was drinking more water. More peeing, but thats not so good for electrolyte balance. Get pink salt and try a salt sour drink to keep your electrolytes up. 2 T cider vinegar, 1/4 tsp pink salt, 1/4 tsp cream tartar and 10 ounces water. Good anytime of day. That gives a small kick of sodium and potassium. Tho cream tartar is not good in high dose due to carbs

45hrs in and I’ve stuck it out so far.

My thoughts have been consumed by food today, but I’ll be working double shifts from tomorrow until Saturday so I should be able to preoccupy myself through to the end.

The second day is always the hardest for me so I should wake up feeling great tomorrow, fingers crossed!
