Normal to still have bowel movements 13 days in?

Lucky day 13 here. Had some troubles last few days losing a pounds for a few but uped my activity and water and now at 30lbs lost. Noticed however it seems every other day I’m having a bowel movement, notably very much so diarehea lately, but non the less definitely from my bowels. This normal? Also notice I’m having almost debailitating gas sometimes with some of the worst acid reflux I could have imagined.

Salt water flushes are great for cleaning out your intestinal tract. And so much more user friendly than enemas. Last long water fast I did, I did a SWF every 3 days or so. I feel that it helped a lot compared to early fasts where I wasn’t doing it.

The concept behind the salt water flush is that your body can’t use salt water so it just flushes through your system. It also pulls some water out as it passes through which is why people that try to drink sea water when stranded can die of dehydration.

Basically you want to put 2 teaspoons of non-iodized salt into a cup of hot water and stir to dissolve. I would typically use a 16oz glass and fill it around half way full to make my dissolved salt water. Then I would add room temperature water so the end result would be hot water, but not so hot that I couldn’t drink it quickly. Then I would drink it as fast as possible. It’s a chore. I’d have a second glass of water as a chaser. Once you finish that salt water, I would quickly drink two full glasses of coldish water.

Very important: stay near a bathroom for the next thirty to sixty minutes at a minimum.

Lastly, you will probably find some variations on the recipe but do not add more salt. An old recipe used to throw up was to drink salt-heavy water. Once I forgot and put in two tablespoons of salt instead of teaspoons and I was fighting the urge to throw up for the next thirty minutes. The two teaspoons is for fine grain salt, so you would have to adjust if using flake salt, etc. Morton canning salt works well as it is fine grain and doesn’t have iodine added to it.

Interesting on acid reflux. I would guess you’re low on your electrolytes. Are you taking salt in? Potassium, calcium, magnesium supplements? I get that acid stomach feeling and take the vinegar drink. It helps, tho I was afraid of putting acid on an acidic feeling stomach

Your liver and innards are still putting out bile so that muck going through you has nothing to absorb into like fiber, thus the shits. It is normal. Enemas help.
