My honest opinion is that you should push forward and continue. There are potentially significant benefits just around the corner, and speaking from experience, extended fasts tend to get much easier after days 3-5 when you’re fully in ketosis. If you can maintain a healthy balance of electrolytes and grind through the next couple of days I think you’ll be happy with the decision. Get to one week and then re-evaluate how you feel. You can do this.

Also, I am not a medical professional and only offering a suggestion that you may or may not consider based on my own personal experiences and research. As always, listen to your body, but trust me when I say that the human body is capable of more than you could ever imagine. Hang in there. 👍🏼

maybe try watching a fasting youtube or reading a fasting book to stay motivated if you want to get past 72 hours! i agree with other poster that you are over the hardest part physically and will likely start feeling a little better physically and mentally and can reap some more benefits (better insulin sensitivity, more autophagy etc without having to go through the difficult process of getting into ketosis again). no shame in the game though if you are satisfied with the amazing work you have put in and want to slowly build up to longer extended fasts and stop now. i did 2 three day fasts before i was able to get up to my 4 day fast. Now i’m only 2 days into what i’m hoping is a 5 day fast, but if im feeling good i wanna push it to 7 days. (what really helps me is caffeine - i know you’re doing a water fast & may be really strict, but for me i’d rather go a few more days & have some coffee with a tiny bit of heavy cream - yes it may lessen autophagy but isnt gonna take me out of ketosis and gives me so much energy & just literally makes me happy lol) as long as you are doing electrolytes & getting water i would think you could continue for another day-few days without medical issues or supervision but after that i would def have my doctor keep and eye on me, especially if i wasnt feeling well :) good luck & definitely listen to your body & if you think something is wrong, immediately start slowly introducing broth or other light foods!
