I’m trying to find important nutrients that are non traditional like nitric oxide and CLA that have great health benefits. Thanks to anyone who decides to comment and help the cause.
P.S if anyone has a link to a list of different non traditional nutrients, I’d also very much appreciate that.
Don’t know about nutrients. But I would say soup from bone broth, carrot, celery root, garlic, onion, parsley root is massively overlooked. It’s cheap, easy to prepare, basically made from “trash ingredients” and is one of the healthiest foods, if not healthiest, on the planet.
I would shout out Vitamin K2. If you are taking Vitamin D you NEED more than adequate K2. You don’t want calcium stuck in the blood building up in places like arteries while your bones are lacking. The calcium, magnesium, vit C, vit D, and Vit K balance and synergy is real lol.
Maybe this isn’t what you are looking for, but amoung others these fisetin and quercetin. There is good research in their role in inflammation reduction, etc. some role I’m reducing aging (through stimulus of the process of ridding the body of ‘dead’ cells, etc. they are flavonoids, and there are others that are good for health.
But, if you eat a decent amount of vegetables and fruits, you are going to get everything you probably need.
A serving of these (not exhaustive by any means): red onions, okra, kidney beans, asparagus, dark chocolate, etc gives you all the quercetin you’ll probably need in a day. Fisetin is found in apples, strawberries, mangoes, grapes, tomatoes, onions, etc.
According to my knowledge; There are nutrients with great health benefits, but there are no nutrients that are specified as non-traditional because the nutrients are what we get through our meals, So to the term “with great health benefits.” if u are getting a well-balanced meal it will contain all the nutrients your body needs.
to keep your body healthy you must maintain your brain, muscle, bone, nerves, skin, blood circulation, and immune system, healthy. so you must be well-known what u feed into your body, your body needs a steady supply of many different raw materials to gain Micronutrients & Macronutrients to keep your whole body healthy.
Macronutrients are proteins, fats, and carbohydrates and your body need a large amount of these macronutrients.
Micronutrients are vitamins and minerals, your body needs only a small portion of micronutrients so if you are taking a well-balanced meal these micronutrients will get to you unconsciously. even if you failed to gain those small amounts you will be suffered from various illnesses such as heart diseases, type 2 diabetes, cancer, and osteoporosis, and furthermore, Vitamin-C might cause bleeding gums.
Better ask r/supplements …
also, it’s hard to tell you what might help you if you don’t have a goal in mind.
for example, have you ever heard about berberine? it may save you from diabetes, but it is almost useless if you are healthy
