Trying first 24 hour dirty fast today, (coffee with tb of cream) after semi-indulgent weekend. Mostly trying to see how it feels, see if I can develop the skill. I do 16:8 to 18:6 regularly but recently did a 5 day fasting mimicking diet and it felt good.
I am doing my first extended fast, of what I hope to be a weekly no-food-Mondays habit. My last meal was Sunday supper (finished by 19:30), with the plan to break my fast at lunch Tuesday (42hr total). I am 26hrs in so far. For this first one I am doing fast-assisted fasting with grass-fed butter, as needed. Hoping I wonโt need fats once I have a couple fasts completed. My plan is if I am hungry: A) drink water or coffee, B) get busy, C) 1/2tbsp butter in hot drink, & if none of those work and life sucks, D) break fast early.
So far I had butter at 20hr and 24hr. Feeling fine now and headed to bed soon. I would say this has been a success so far.
