Back to fasting today, first time in… well, a while. Have been doing low carb for a few weeks, measuring what I’m eating, but not explicitly fasting.

Finished dinner last night, maybe around 7? No late night snacking, rolled into this morning, just some tea with cream.

I live with my sis. She and her toddler are down with Covid. I’m on cooking for them. Sis and I had just started getting serious about lifestyle changes in the past few weeks. I’m fasting, she’s not. So all day, I measured and weighed and prepped for them. Toast for breakfast, snacks for the kid, lunch and more snacks delivered to their door.

And still, I fasted. I didn’t cave and pick at what I was making for them. Made it to 1pm before tummy grumbles. Waited until 2 pm before I ate a bit of salmon lox. Later a bit of cheese, and some yoghurt. Zucchini boats with bolognese sauce for dinner. Some 850 calories, sub 20 g of net carbs, finished by 630.

Feeling great, satisfied and full. For me, controlling my blood sugar makes IF workable, and helps my health. I’d like to get to OMAD, but will work with small low carb snack mid afternoon, and then dinner. Aiming for 20:4, but flexibility is really important to me, so will go by my bodies cues, and don’t mind moving times around a bit.

Progress, not perfection. I’m proud of myself today.

I’ve just completed my first week of 18:6 fasting. I was getting pretty discouraged because I had to constantly adjust my fasting window due to not resisting late night snacks. I always made sure I didn’t eat again for 18 hrs though. I was shocked to see I was 4lbs down this morning! I’m so motivated to keep going, knowing I don’t have to do it perfectly for it to work.

Have been doing intermittent fasting for two weeks now, except on weekends.

18:6 with a window from 14:00 to 20:00

I stopped all kinds of snacks, even during my window hours, the truth is I do not crave them anymore!

Motive: loose some stubborn fats in my arms and thighs.

I want to say that i have never felt so good in my life! I´ m always in a good mood, full of energy, I fell light and I noticed some slight thinning in my arms!

IF is so effortless, it helped me save money and it DOES WORK!!!

Have been on and off IF for a while and recently decided it’s now or never to do it properly. Had a read of Gin Stephen’s Fast Feast Repeat and I’m currently on Day 3 of the 28-day streak she talks about - she’s inspiring, as are all of the people in this sub!

I’m OMAD-ing, which is super comfortable for me, and black coffee/water is my bestie during the fasting hours :) I am excited and happy to finally be on my way. 150lbs, here I come!

I’ve been doing IF to help lose fat (for context I’m 4’9, 107LBS, or 147cm, 48.7kg) and I’ve been doing 19:5 fasts! I feel so much better ngl, like I’m lighter and more in control.

Tips! Drink lots of water!

Today started great. Aiming for 18:6 but then had a great appointment with my doctor and was thrilled so I celebrated with one of my favourite meals, which I haven’t had in 2 months, pho. I ate around 6:15pm. It was so good but I’ve been snacky ever since. I keep learning this lesson. LOL. Be strong everyone.

Before that I had a keto bar, which I don’t really like but I hadn’t broken my fast yet. Then nothing til dinner. Since dinner, some cantaloupe, a banana and a couple of pieces of caramel. Yeah yeah…

Tomorrow is another day. It was my first real cheat day in a while.
